Mode switching failed after power loss. Defrost board or reversing valve may need reset.
A faulty board can cause the outdoor unit to freeze over in winter, blocking heat absorption.
If the valve is stuck, the heat pump may get trapped in one mode or fail to provide adequate temperature change.
If the thermostat fails to sense the correct temperature, it won't signal the HVAC to run.
